↠ Part two of our kitchen beautifying process! This is the part where everything is a mess and the whole room feels like a hazard but I know these are just the growing pains we have to go through to get to the goodness on the other side!

The beadboard, shelves, and especially the paint have already made a big difference in how the space feels, which makes me so excited for part three…getting some new hardware and painting these cabinets! The goal is to do something fun and bold but…stay tuned hahaha I haven’t committed yet! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

↠ We’ve officially begun our little kitchen beautification (I don’t think I can really call it a renovation hahaha) and I am beyond excited to give this old, grimy kitchen some new life! It is one of the last rooms in our home that we haven’t fixed up at all since moving in.

We aren’t doing any major upgrades—— no new cabinets, countertops, or appliances. But we’re going to work with what we do have and a pretty small budget to see we can spruce it up a bit so it can be a beautiful, more enjoyable space to be in! Part 02 is coming soon, where we install something new and do a bit of painting! I cannot wait to see this project all finished!

↠ Nothing groundbreaking here, just an old $8 Marketplace spice rack turned into a cozy towel holder. Let this be your reminder to think outside the box, and also have fun. It sounded like a silly idea until it all came together, and now I can’t imagine it any other way!

↠ Tiny spaces make the coziest spaces, repeat after me! Truly though, I adore having a smaller home and rooms with a smaller footprint. Things really do feel that much cozier when you don’t have too much space to fill. So if you also have a home on the small side, count it a blessing! Less to furnish and less to clean! Also, I just needed this shower curtain to be shared with the world.

↠ That feeling when your first baby isn’t the baby anymore. Oh it’s so very bittersweet! Had to take the opportunity yesterday to recreate a video from almost two years ago with my big boy! What a treasure it is to be able to watch them grow, mamas. Here’s your soft reminder to soak it all in.

↠ One of my favorite things to do every evening after the boys are in bed is clean up their play area and “reset” their toys for the next day. The other night we decided to give it a little upgrade with this new play mat and I’m in awe! 10/10 upgrade as this is wipeable. Good ridden to the stained rug! ↠ A Little Bear birthday playdate celebration for our sweet two year old! I can’t even believe that our little baby boy is two. What a journey! We had the best time making his favorite books and tv show come to life! Surprisingly, almost all of his friends adore Little Bear too! Did any of you grow up watching it? I certainly did!

I had to get creative with the party decor since there aren’t really Little Bear themed items out there to purchase, but it was so fun piecing it all together! ↠ Morning rhythms are my number one essential to starting the day. We begin our days the same each morning, and I think it’s so helpful for our children to come to know those daily rhythms—— a gentle hug to their little nervous systems!

Since it’s the beginning of the year, I thought it might be helpful to anyone feeling that “what should I do first” feeling, to share how I structure every morning to set us up for success throughout the day!

Special thank you to @twopagescurtains for being my source of inspiration for this post. Their curtains are so weighted, soft, and luxury feeling. The most stunning I’ve ever owned. These are the Linen Pleated Drapes, Pinch Pleat header, Taupe Grey color (which is a dusty brown tone in my opinion, so lovely). They are memory trained which helps them keep the pleated look. Absolutely in love! #twopageshome

So speaking of curtains, opening them is the first thing I do every morning. Cannot start the day without letting that morning light in! Then it’s followed by——

• switch clothes from washer into dryer
• empty dishwasher
• breakfast
• refill dishwasher / hand wash dishes
• wipe down countertops
• make beds / tidy up bedrooms
• whole house vacuum

These are my non-negotiable tasks that must be completed before I really feel like the day is started. Beginning with a fresh home every morning puts us in the best position to enjoy the day! I’d love to know, what are your morning rhythms for your household? I’m sure it would helpful to others to get some more inspiration too!

↠ Introducing Henry. 🍂 It’s been the sweetest week with our little pumpkin spice boy! Arrived rather quickly on his due date and took us all by surprise! We adore him so, and are soaking into the reality of life with two littles. It’s about to be the coziest autumn season yet!

↠ Today, I’m switching up our little play area to be functional for both our toddler and our soon-to-arrive new baby. It was so sweet bringing out old baby things and toys and then also letting our toddler pick out a few things from @walmart’s @itzyritzy collection for his baby brother! #ItzyRitzyPartner

Fun fact, his favorite toy as a baby was a dinosaur from @itzyritzy that we named “baby dinosaur” hahaha, so this felt like a necessary full circle moment! Including him in this process of sharing his space and toys was so sweet, and I think it will make for some fun sibling playtimes ahead. Will link these toys in my story and baby highlight!

↠ Our bedroom oasis. We’ve been working on this space for what seems like forever, about nine months in the making (much like a certain someone as well 🤰🏽)! It’s not perfect, nor will it ever be, but it’s so cozy and comfy, we love being in here! I had a vision for this room before we even bought this little cottage home, and it’s been so rewarding to see it slowly and steadily coming together. If you need a sign to go bold with a space and ditch the all white walls—— this is your sign!

@sandbergwallpaper made this room come to life. Every inch of our walls are adorned with this dusty green wallpaper and I’ve never loved a bedroom more than this one! Their designs are so lovely and versatile, which works out perfectly as a little corner nook of this room will serve as a nursery for our soon to arrive son, before we eventually have the boys room share. But for now, this will be the coziest spot in the house for these upcoming postpartum days. #sandbergwallpaper
